Located just over 1,5 km from downtown Lagos and approximately 80kms from Faro International Airport, Casa Beachcomber is a traditional private Algarvean residence set in a hectare of delightful gardens and offering views towards the sea. Portugal’s capital city, Lisbon, as well as the wonderful city of Seville in Spain, each lie just under 2hrs 45mins distant by car.
Previously an exclusive country club, the property offers a large swimming pool adjacent to a shallow paddling pool, complete with hot tub and sun-bathing deck. Retaining its traditional character, including original tiled floors, cool high ceilings and whitewashed walls, Casa Beachcomber has been sympathetically divided into six apartments. The entire villa can be rented exclusively or as individual apartments. Each apartment has its own unique style and all come equipped with Wifi and Satellite TV.
Casa Beachcomber is an ideal destination for those who seek a holiday in a rural location, but close to all amenities. It is also ideal for groups of families and friends with a capacity, using all the apartments, to accommodate up to 18 to 20 adults and children.
Lagos Marina with its restaurants and bars, downtown historic Lagos and the famed Meia Praia beach, with over 4km of golden sand, are all within walking distance of the property.
Excursions, boat trips, dolphin watching trips, and visits to theme parks can be booked at Lagos Marina or from one of the stands and shops on the main Avenida. The marina itself is offers a beautiful setting, with restaurants, cafes and bars and with the wonderful backdrop of sailing boats.
Casa Beachcomber is also an ideal location for exploring the beautiful but rugged coastline of the Western Algarve. including places such as Sagres and Cape St. Vincent, the most south-westerly point of Europe, as well as the delightful environs of the Monchique mountain range which dominates the region.
Lagos, itself, is an historic town with roots dating back to Phoenician and Roman times. It was also one of the main ports from whence sailed vessels on Portugal’s Voyages of Discovery in the 15th and 16th Centuries.
Today, Lagos is popular with visitors from Portugal and other nations. It boasts a wide range of facilities, including cafes, bars and restaurants offering mouth-watering traditional Portuguese dishes as well as international cuisine. The town has several supermarkets, the nearest being Pingo Doce, 1km distant.
